Odd Couple???

Spent the day in the pool today due to record high temperatures and saw the oddest couple ever!



What could she possibly see in this man???? You have to ask the question.... is she a escort?? or just plain blind!!!

Wasted Weekend

Now Ill be the first one to admit that I love a drink or two (or three) every now and then. However this weekend was a total write off due to the failure to control my alcohol intake on Friday night.

I failed to adhere to the six rules Ive set out when it comes to drinking:

1. Never start a drinking session at Lunchtime.
2. Always eat before drinking commences.
3. Believe your friends when they tell you that you are pissed and should slow down.
4. Never, Never, Never become best friends with the looser at the end of the bar who has no friends of his own.
5. Don't drink and drive home.
6. Drink a glass of water when you get home.
6.1 Ensure that you get home!

Due to the breaking of these rules I woke up on Saturday feeling like life had ended. Ive spent the rest of the weekend at Mom and Dads place feeling very sorry for myself and avoiding all my social obligations.

Theres nothing worse than facing your friends after a session of absolute name throwing. I now plan to live the rest of my life as a recluse thus avoiding further embarrassment.

Shame I can really see why other people feel sorry for us poor Capetonians.
Just look at the horrible scenery I had to endure while at the Chermans 21st birthday party last week.....

Unhappy New Year

So I suppose you've all have been missing me terribly, well the good news is that I'm back!! Where have I been you ask?

Well it all starts once upon a time in late 2008 with me jetting off (albeit just to Durbs) to see the love of my life and long distance boyfriend for the last three years, 'Mr London'.
It was 10 days of bliss and no explanation needed as to why I wasn't around my PC much.

BUT he emails a couple days later to break up with me. No, that wasn't a typo he really did email me to say its over for good!!! Along with this unfortunate event I also started a job that I'm not entirely sure I'm going to enjoy ( who does actually want to work 9-5 every day especially when your earning the SA Rand???) moved into a house that I'm not entirely happy with ( its a little sub standard compared to the Clifton penthouse I was gunning for) and on top of this we lost a very special friend to a freak stroke.

SO as you may gather it wasn't a very happy start to the New Year at all.
To all of those who wasted their time sending cheesy Happy New Year messages next year try this: "Merry Christmas and Shitty New Year".

Be honest here, who really does have a happy start to the New Year??? Its back to work for most of us, summer romances fizzle out and almost all of us are broke from overspending during the December holidays!

SO here's three cheers to a shit January. Unhappy New Years to you all!!
